Laborer  – Utility Crew

Position Overview:

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Laborer to join our 4-person pipe crew. This position plays a key support role in underground utility installation and excavation projects. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in teamwork, and is ready to contribute to a productive and safety-focused job site.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the pipe layer and equipment operator during excavation and pipe installation.
• Set up and help maintain level lasers and pipe lasers for accurate grade and alignment.
• Communicate effectively with the crew to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Perform physical labor including lifting, shoveling, grading, and trench maintenance.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Lift and carry heavy materials and tools (50+ pounds).
• Follow all company and safety procedures on site.
• Assist with material handling and site cleanup as needed.
• Support all members of the crew to complete projects on time and to quality standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience in excavation, underground utilities, or construction is a plus, but not required — training will be provided.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working long hours outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a close-knit team.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn new skills.
• Dependable transportation to and from the job site.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
• Work in standing, kneeling, or crouched positions for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
